How do meals work at WYD?

As part of your WYD registration, you’ll receive access to meal vouchers to obtain lunch and dinner throughout the week of World Youth Day.
The WYD Committee will have partnered with various restaurants and grocery stores throughout the city. It is likely that these locations will be listed in the WYD app. Most of these restaurants will provide a special “Pilgrim Meal” that pilgrims can use their voucher on, sometimes with multiple options to choose from.
Grocery stores will often have a set amount of items you can purchase with your voucher.
At the vigil site, pilgrims will receive a meal kit upon arrival that contains their meals for Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch.
