How does Verso Ministries work to ensure my safety while on pilgrimage to World Youth Day?

Verso Ministries is committed to prioritizing the safety of our pilgrims and ensuring that measures are proactively taken to keep pilgrims safe, therefore giving them the opportunity to make the most of their pilgrimage.
All pilgrims will be accompanied by a Verso Pilgrimage Director who is trained in emergency response protocol, as well as by a local Korean guide. These two staff members will be available to help ensure the safety of the group.
Safety will be covered in the pre-departure resources we will share with pilgrims. Simple measures such as the buddy system, wearing a nametag and pilgrim credential, maintaining a charged cell phone, and adequately preparing for the heat will go a long way in keeping pilgrims safe. Pilgrims are also encouraged to register for the STEP program through the U.S. Department of State.
