What can I do to help keep myself and others safe while on pilgrimage at WYD?
- While Seoul is a generally safe city, common-sense safety precautions are important to help your pilgrimage go smoothly.
- Carry your cell phone at all times, have a portable charger with you in case the battery gets low, and be sure you have your Group Leader and Pilgrimage Director’s numbers saved.
- You should leave all valuables in the safe at the hotel (including your passport!), and never leave your phone or wallet in an exterior pocket of your bag.
- Always travel with a buddy, and tell someone else where you are going during free time.
- Additionally, staying hydrated and eating nutritious meals will help keep you safe from heat-related medical emergencies.
