What can I do to help keep myself and others safe while on pilgrimage at WYD?

While Seoul is a generally safe city, common-sense safety precautions are important to help your pilgrimage go smoothly.
Carry your cell phone at all times, have a portable charger with you in case the battery gets low, and be sure you have your Group Leader and Pilgrimage Director’s numbers saved.
You should leave all valuables in the safe at the hotel (including your passport!), and never leave your phone or wallet in an exterior pocket of your bag.
Always travel with a buddy, and tell someone else where you are going during free time.
Additionally, staying hydrated and eating nutritious meals will help keep you safe from heat-related medical emergencies.
